What LearnWorlds adds and what Skool adds

LearnWorlds sells through your own Stripe or PayPal account, and quizzes are on every plan. Pro Trainer adds a question bank, SCORM (a standard for packaged e-learning content that works across learning platforms) and certificates, per the plan comparison. LearnWorlds's own help articles differ on Starter for both; LearnWorlds certificates and LearnWorlds SCORM cover that difference.

A Skool course lives in the Classroom, a section of the community group, so lessons and conversation share one place. A course can open after a set number of days from joining, for a one-time price or at a community level. To sell one course alone, Skool asks for a one-time price in the course settings and a bank account connected through Stripe Express. Hobby, at $9 a month, still lists unlimited members.

Both drip content. Skool opens a page a set number of days after a member joins, and LearnWorlds has drip feed on every plan, for courses only on Starter. Both run live sessions too: Skool lists unlimited live calls, and LearnWorlds includes live one-to-one and group sessions on every plan, with one connected account on Starter.

Who should pick LearnWorlds and who should pick Skool

LearnWorlds caps active learners at 1,000 a month on Starter and 2,000 on Pro Trainer, where Skool lists unlimited members on both plans. LearnWorlds also takes a flat $5 per paid enrollment on Starter, while Skool's fee is a percentage plus 30 cents, so it grows with the price of each sale.

Pick LearnWorlds for quizzes, a school on your own domain and the course tools above. LearnWorlds's own prompt is to move to Pro Trainer past 1,000 learners or to drop enrollment fees.

Pick Skool when the conversation is the product and the courses are light: Hobby is $9 a month with a 10% fee, and Pro is $99 a month with 2.9%. A Skool group can be free, a subscription, freemium, tiered or a one-time payment. LearnWorlds also has a built-in social network and private groups on every plan, covered on LearnWorlds community. LearnWorlds can be tried for 30 days with no credit card; Skool for 14 days.
